Music therapy is an evidence-based means of support that uses music to accomplish individualised therapeutic goals. Through both playing and listening, therapist and client build a therapeutic relationship through which meaningful change and reflection can occur.

Who can music therapy help? 

Children and Young People 

Music therapy provides a creative and supportive environment for children and young people to express themselves and explore challenges. Working with both a verbal and creative medium, music therapy can support those with social emotional mental health needs, anxiety, depression, trauma , and relational difficulties.

For those with additional needs and learning disabilities, music therapy provides a unique space where they can simultaneously work on emotional expression, communication, developmental milestones and much more. Music therapy uses a client-led framework where clients are supported to have agency and autonmony in a creative environement.
